Altbier is not exactly the type of beer I enjoy most of. This is probably because they are not so common on the supermarket’s shelves and it’s really a shame, because often they are very tasteful and nice frothy. And just the foam is also quite impressive on Brøckhouse’s Altbier. Unfortunately I think many expect a different type of an ale named Høstbryg (English: Harvest Brew), so here I will advise consumers to read what the label says, because the back label tells us clearly that this is an altbier and also tells what I should expect of the content. But I think that Brøckhouse is a little hesitant the praise on the back label. It does not mention that great impressive foam renewable forms nice foam. It does not mention the wonderful aroma, with a touch of flower, crisp caramel notes and some chocolate. Brøckhouse have chosen to describe the taste as a distinct caramel sweetness with soft and round fullness and moderate bitterness. To this I can only add superlatives as stunning, expertly and excellence. Brøckhouse can and should spend much more laudatory words to describe this delicious ale. There are still many words of praise that can be used in speaking of exaggeration. Japalo (1874) - DENMARK - JUL 12, 2012

Flaske. Mørkebrun øl med et fint skumhoved. Maltet duft, og en meget maltet smag, der ikke er for sød. Meget let humlet. Udmærket øl, men kunne godt have været en tand fyldigere. fonefan (48740) - VestJylland, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2008
