Bamsen78 (5707) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2017
Draught @ Fox & Hounds, Sønderborg. Pours hazy coffee brown with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of caramel and fruit. Bitterish, hoppy flavour with mild citric touches, notes of caramel malt and hints of roast and cinnamon. Estery, roasty and mildly acidic aftertaste. Not bad as such but rather watery.

Taste of chocolate and hops, but nothing more, interesting, to say about it.

Smager en del af lakrids i eftersmagen. Middel i humle. Fint som juleøl da den er mørk og uden kanel.

The aroma is caramel. Foam is rich and beautiful - but it is not a Brøckhouse! Pleasant taste of lightly roasted caramel with a little fruit and chocolate malt in the background. A nice Christmas beer with ease detained hop bitterness, but not a Christmas beer that comes right up in the lead among the best on the market.

[email protected] Dubliner, CPH - dark brown pour with off-white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste, caramel, toffee, fudge, some yeasty earthiness, herbal with light spice, bitter finish. Decent.

Bottle. 2009. Dark Brown. Half finger foam. Roasted malty notes blended with raisins. Some sweetness. Short finish. Had a Indian curry together with this beer!

kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 10, 2012
The head is robust, the body red-brown. It smells sweet, roasty and soft. The taste is malty, roasty, bitter. Drinkable! 11/11/10/9/9/10

Blairgus (4615) - California, USA - MAR 7, 2011
ruby brown colour, clear light smoky sausage nose. not as big as a Schlenkerla thin body, slightly fizzy smoked not dog taste. the hot dog element is stronger than the smoke. much tamer than a Schlenkerla. nice

Bottle at home tasting ... dark copper ... creamy tan head ... soft blackcurrant toffee ... light ovaltine nose ... big simple light smokeyness ... juicy malys

POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - FEB 26, 2011
Fine dark brown color. Aroma is mysterious and malty. The taste is sweet, malty dark but not balanced.
