Bottle. A new beer form a retired brewery, quite a threat ! Dark brown with huge pale brown and creamy head. Aroma roasted malts, cocoa, when it heats up chocolate and oranges. Taste roasted matls, cocoa and a little bitterness.A good beer, but I can´t understand why they don´t keep the recipe for the old christmas beer alive, when the name Brøckhouse seemingly has been sold, and someone else are brewing. But much better than the crap sold from Ølfabrikken nowadays.
Btw. it´s no way a vienna. My guess is a stout. odgaard (385) - Skyum, Thisted, DENMARK - NOV 29, 2009

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate notes, light to moderate meat, smoke - chimney soot notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, chimney soot and smoke. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
The head is robust, the body red-brown. It smells sweet, roasty and soft. The taste is malty, roasty, bitter. Drinkable! 11/11/10/9/9/10

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear dark brown - close to chestnut brown - with an off-white head. Roasted malts in the nose and a little nuts. Medium body, dry caramel accents, again a little nuts with a metallic touch. Dry and fairly hoppy finish. Clean but rather unspectacular. 251109 DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2010
