Black. Licoricy, hoppy aroma. Clean malt profile with a rich hoppy flavour with notes of licorice. Seems well balanced. Christian (13823) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 4, 2004
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2007 Black with a tiny light brown head. Unique aroma of licorice, roast malt, flowers, earth and hay. Flavour is even more unique, with an initial sour impression that broadens with sweetness and bitterness and a dominant licorice tone.
Clearly a love or hate beer, and I’m one of the lovers. veronika (410) - SWEDEN - MAY 21, 2004
Dark brown, small head. Aroma from licorice. Flavor from sour oranges. Dry and not one of my favorites. rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 21, 2004
Black, small head. This is not one of my favourite stouts. Flavor is fruity in a strange way, and reminds me of oranges that hasnt matured. Salty. This bottle felt like it was a little too old or something.
