[500ml bottle, courtesy of cgarvieuk] Black, faint ruby. Tan lacing. Sweet candied peanut aroma. Bit of liquorice on the finish? Oatmeal from the stout – chocolate in there too. I can definitely see the influences of each brewery here [06072012]

6 July 2012, bottle at cagarvie's legendary tasting. Really dark brown. Nose is faintly tart, slightly sweet, burnt oatmeal. Thin body and fizzy. Sweet up front immediately fades into burnt coco beans. Lots of bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

In bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a fair light tan head. A lovely hoppy pine aroma before roasty malt, oatmeal, caramel and Weetabix. Similar flavours with mild carbonation, light CO2 prickle and a foamy mouth-feel. Lovely. Nicely bitter also.
