Ha ha of course this isn’t like any bitter you’ve ever had. Bordering on a sour it’s zesty, sharp and thirst quenching. Some malt, wonderfully nuanced carbonation. Red wine, gooseberry, lemon. Legend again.

Cask at the brewpub. Hazy brownish amber. Spicy hops atop nutty roasty malt. Mid dry with firm malt forming a light body. Soft yet crisp with some strawberry and long bitterness. Good quencher.

Cask at Cross Keys in Covent Garden, 19th December 2012. Nice hoppy bitter, good for a session. Not as interesting as some of the other Brodies beers.

Cask at the old coffee house, soho. Pours a dark amber with a slightly off white head. Quite fruit lemony aroma with a hint of maltiness. Light to medium body, light carbonation. Light caramel, lemon, grapefruit, wood, pine, sap, toast. Dry, bitter. Tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

jjsint (3425) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 29, 2014
Cask @ Cross Keys, Covent Garden. Clear copper with a tiny white head. Scent of fresh grass, bitter lemon, spruce and witch hazel. Fruity bittersweet initial taste gives way to a long super-bitter finish. Bitterness still with me long after the pint is gone. Thus has bags if character for 4%, and while the ’enough IBUs to kill a horse’ style of brewing is not my cup of tea, there is no denying that this is an incredible product.
