Cask (handpump) at the King William IV, Leyton on 6 April 2012. Dark brown in colour, unsurprisingly. Thin beige head. A little diacetyl on the nose but it’s just a vague hint so not too off-putting. Firm hops come through though in the flavour. Strong grapefruit. Slightly astringent. Decent but not one of my Brodies favourites - a little harsh.

Cask @ Brodies. Dark brown colour, reasonable beige head. Mild woody hop aroma. Chocolatey hop flavour with lingering aftertaste. Decent beer but not the best black IPA.
