Keg Half Pint at The Rake, Borough, London in March 2014 - Hazy Gold in colour. Average head. Good lacing. Hoppy; piney resinous hops. Fruity; grapefruit citrus, hint of tropical fruits. Malty; toasty malts. Hint of smoky bacon. Moderately bitter hoppy fruity throughout with faint smoky bacon notes. Interesting, but I’m not yet convinced about Smoky Bacon IPAs even if the smoke is fairly subtle. (2014-03-06)

Backlog rating. Keg at the Rake tap takeover, London. It pours a pale copper color with a small white head. Aroma is hop forward with notes of grapefruit, tangerine, citrus, pine cone, burnt woody, bacon, smoke. Taste is medium sweet and fruity from the hops and medium bitter and smoky. Notes of smoked wood, bacon, pine needles, resin, pineapple, citrus peel. Quite full bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, interesting combination of flavours, not necessarily my favourite though fonefan (49293) - VestJylland, DENMARK - NOV 9, 2014

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. This is a cloudy yellow golden one with a nice medium sized white really lacing top. Smells a bit strange fruity. Hay and traces of smoke, some wet reeds and rutabaga. It’s really dry bitter and almost a little pungent this. Yeah, near pungent it’s so bitter. Lacks some sweetness to balance all that grassy punch. Somewhat thin and lightning the mouth and it’s soft on the bubbles. Tasty enough, but to harsh to reply enjoy. 03.05.2014 daje (4436) - NORWAY - AUG 17, 2014
On tap at Mikkeller & Friends, july 26th 2014. Hazy orange with a small white head. Fruity hop aroma, lemon, peach, grapefruit, with luckily just a tad smoked bacon. Taste follows with grapefruit, light caramel, and a smokeness which might resemble bacon. Light smoked and fruity finish, bacon is noticable in aftertaste. Actually a good beer, and the bacon in an ipa works a lot better than we feared. Rasmus40 (20643) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 16, 2014
