Hoppy session beer using the wonderful Citra hop. Flavours and aromas of pineapples and mangoes with a light mouthfeel.

Pale pissy straw body, lasting frothy head. Amazing refresher fizz nose. Weak, pointless taste and sweet green Fruit Gum chewy finish. CBSS

My Bottom Line:
Citrusy aromatics fight off red pepper and urea allusions in this boring quencher.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the clear golden.
-Hop flavour is rather restrained, as is the forgettable finish.
-Carbonation is very light, making the mouthfeel appear watery (which was not the case at all for their other 3% brew on that night (the Mild).
-Malts offer a few lackadaisical straw notes.
-There are so many brews in the same flavour and alcohol range in the UK, I don’t see why I would have this one again.
-Not sure this cask was in the greatest condition, especially since the base beer must be close to their Kiwi, which was fantastic a few weeks later...

On cask at The Cross Keys.

50cl bottle courtesy of and shared with jmgreenuk. Lovely citrus aroma. Thin creamy white head. Hazy blond pour. Lovely citrus hoppiness. Lovely brew.

Bottle shared thanks to Jmgreenuk. Pours hazy yellow golden with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, tropical fruits, citrus. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Pint at The Anderson. My second Citra Pale Ale of the week, and the better one of the two - even at 3.1%abv. Top notch aroma, packed with citrus notes. Similar tasting to Black Isle Blonde yet not as heavy on the head. Delicious.

Started off like Fairy Liquid but settled into an enjoyably citrusy mid afternoon suppage. Had a nap with the boy. Then danced like a loon to OFF! in the kitchen with the girl. I love that my daughter loves hardcore punk. Truly magical.

Enormous aroma of melon and passion fruit backed by a hint of citrus bite. Pours slightly cloudy. Flavour adds a firm bitterness and a splash of grapefruit flavour.

A great session ale. Great ABV and packs an aroma and flavour punch. Thin bodied but only as expected. If only I had a tap of this........

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; cloudy straw yellow pour with frothy white head, citrus and slightly herby aroma, crisp fresh citra hop taste decent level of carbonation makes it really refreshing, would go down well in a session on a hot summers day.

Head is cloud. Piss pale. Your mom’s umami. Body is warm. Texture is puss. Lacing is relaxed.
