Keg at the Old Coffee House, London. The pumpclip read: "Brodies Simcoe 6%" and after some RB sleuthing this appears to be the proper entry. Pours dark, red-brown with a big, beige cream head. Tangy dark malt nose, some dirt. Odd flavor, lots of idodine character, dark malts, tar, bitter chocolate, moderate roast, medium sweetness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly sweet to finish, a bit tangy, with burnt then wet wood, dark berries, burnt pine. Lasting tangy, dark malts and wet wood. Weird. madmitch76 (25321) - , Essex, ENGLAND - SEP 8, 2012

On tap at Brewdog Camden. Special Edition as tweeted by James on 18th August. Dark brown beer, almost opaque. Little pale tan head. Palate is softish and a little dry. Creamy dark malt, smooth, no rough edges. A little coffee like bitterness. Mild, but bitter, orangey hops on the back end. Finishes smooth with some coffee bitter linger. Smooth but bitter, eases up a little on warming up. Decent but prefer the original version.
