Bottle at home from cotteridge wines. Arom is realy big bold sweet, sharp lemon rind and piney hops. There is also some fruit salad, mineral and some slight roast. Clearish dark caramel red pour with a steadfast dense light cream head. Flavour is sweet toffee, berry hop, pine. The finish is ashy roast and big piney clean aggressive bitterness. Some slight soapyness. Fine tingling carbonation dryish fiinish. The bitterness is a bit too much for me.

On tap at The Cock Tavern, Hackney, Saturday 1st March 2013 This was another winner for me from Brodies, this and the raspberry beer were both truly excellent.Pours black but not so black you could see it peeling away to brown at the edges. This was just a cracking IPA, clean, refreshing, crisp with plenty of citrus zipping through and a little layer of roastiness that really added to this, bitter, clean fruity, but so, so easy to drink for the abv, in fact I can hardly believe its 7.4% Great beer! Tap @ Mikkeller Bar. Fairly deep black appearance with a light brown head. Fairly roasty malty, chocolate, a bit floral/piney hoppy aroma. Somewhat citrusy, roasty malty, chocolate, light coffee flavor. Pretty decent Black IPA.

olio (10548) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 19, 2013
33 cl bottle.
Pours murky brown color with a large, thick off-white head. Aroma has the intense hops and roast malts familiar to most black ipas, pine needles, nice floral notes, some resin and caramel are there too. Lots of citrus fruits, mostly mandarin, on the flavor, roasted dry malts and resiny hops follow. Quite bitter but still somewhat dry palate with a nice refreshing effect. Very nice brew altogether.

Cask @ ACBF 2012, Moen.
