Served Mikkeller Bar Copenhagen, draft. Apperance dark brown and unclear with no head. Served very cold but after warmup aroma of characteristic american hops, floral and peachy. Taste with notes of roasted malts, coffee and liquorice, nice strong bitter aftertaste, high ibu, ballanced sweetness, I recommend this beer served 8-12 degreesC.

Pours murky brown color with a large, thick off-white head. Aroma has the intense hops and roast malts familiar to most black ipas, pine needles, nice floral notes, some resin and caramel are there too. Lots of citrus fruits, mostly mandarin, on the flavor, roasted dry malts and resiny hops follow. Quite bitter but still somewhat dry palate with a nice refreshing effect. Very nice brew altogether.
(Cask at Old Fountain, Old Street, London, 27 Apr 2013) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, fruity, hoppy nose with coffee, chocolate, caramel, pine needles and hints of tropical fruit. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, coffee, chocolate, pine needles, grapefruit, resin, raisins and a generous resinous/piney bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Surprisingly well balanced and drinkable. Very nice. The_Bish (1146) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2013
Err, well, guess what, yep, this is good. Black IPA exactly as it should be. Maybe a tuppence, ut it’s a rich tuppence. total nonsense that you could understand completely. Perhaps even a pfennig if that’s how your bread is buttered. Dommod2011 (728) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUN 3, 2013

Key at HB. Dark brown with a generous head. Tropical fruit araoma with nothing apparaent from the dark malt. Flavour is tropical friot with a lingering dry grapefruit finish. Some chocolate and coffee appears once it warms. Niall73 (2434) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 16, 2013
Tap at William IV. Pours a dark coca cola colour with a pale tan head. Aroma is pine, cannabis with an earthy funkiness. Medium body, medium carbonation. There's pine, toffee, grapefruit, coffee, pineapple, funky fusty stuff. Yep, nice.
