Cask at Cross Keys, Covent Garden - August 7, 2011. Clear refractive gold with a solid lasting creamy/foamy off-white head. Has a grain mash sourness to it, interesting - no alcohol though, very grassy, dry straw - but there’s that odd sourness too. Taste - weird, I swear the sourness was a touch lactic - very dry, even oddly spicy - soft, with no booze - mostly just grassy and light non-cereal grain. Thick and chewy mouthfeel, airy/frothy and perhaps a bit acidic - my palate couldn’t decide - at most a medium-long grassy bitter finish - really leaves a coating dryness behind, almost resin - just okay, wanted to like it more than I did. ndon (857) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 11, 2011
