dark brown color. Chalky, tart with dark chocolate. Slightly tart, vinous, a bit of coffee. not bad, but not great out of the bottle.

Pours almost black with a light tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, acetone, funk, coffee, chocolate and tobacco. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter, light sour with a long roasted, light sour finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle.Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt , some sour notes, coffee, chocolate and malt. Flavor is sweet and sour with some tobacco, roasted malt and hint of banana. Medium body, average carbonation. Ok stout , dont know of if sourness is intended.

Dark, opaque brown color, small beige head. Slightly sour, roasted malty aroma. Medium-bodied. Slightly tart, coffee beans, toasted maltyness. Some chocolate. Feels a bit aged.

Bottled. More or less pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, some slight sour wooden notes. Flavour is slightly acidic wood, some mild liquorice, coffee and mild medicinal sweetness in the finish.

Has a sour front, but a rich sweet finish. Good roast, burnt without being atringent. I dont like any sourness in my stouts 99% of the time, so the nose put me off this.

Bottle in a field at Cropredy day 3 ... Deep black ... thin tan head .. soft sweet dark roasts malts ... dark cherry blackcurrant nose ... dark sweet roast ... mellow roast ... light meatyness ... soft chocolate ... dark berries ... hint of sourness in the future but not yet.
