Taste of melon, grape, some grapefruit, biscuity malt, a little straw, subtle sharp lemon and slight grassy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A short, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Backlog rating. Cask at Old Coffee House, London. It pours a clean golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is hop forward on the fruity side, with pineapple and citrus. Taste is similarly fruity but not overly bitter. Grapefruit and peaches with a touch of acidic note in the finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Nice pale ale. GlasgowTAD (1874) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - NOV 13, 2014
Pours with a fluffy longlasting white head and an opaque colour typical of a golden ale. Aroma is mainly grapefruit, with hints of citrus and slight lychee. Taste is heavy grapefruit with a grapefruit bitterness finish. Dry medium finish with a hint of tartness. Very nice for a low ABV beer, if you are put off by the ABV because you think this might be watery you could not be more mistaken! The body is full and indulgent. Hoping to source more Brodies beer in the future after this!
