Tap at the brewpub, purple-brown with a faint haze and a sweet fruity nose that belies the puckeringly dry body. Yet the fruit is still there on the palate, complementing the sourness in exactly the way that Berliner sweet syrups don’t. Mmm!

Beese (2733) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2013
Draft at BrewDog Camden, London on 13 July 2013. Poured a dark red with a dense pink head. Acidic aroma with hints of the berries. Flavour is a nice balance of the sour, initial burst of sourness balanced with some residual sweetness and hints of blackcurrent, raspberry and strawberry... all not quite ripened. Not too sweet, but more going on than just tartness.

viktorvee (510) - Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 27, 2013
As well as the expected sourness and sweet fruit there are some off notes which make it kind of interesting. Smells a little like spoiled cheese, with some leather and crushed fruit out in the sun. Taste similar. Quite flat and not as sour as some of the others. Not sure it completely works but quite enjoyable.
