Cock Tavern. Cloudy gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is crisp and a little dry. Light. Medium sourness, not too harsh. White wine sourness and fresh peach in good balance. Little seltzer minerals vibe. Finishes semi dry and crisp. Decent sour because it ain’t too sour!
On tap. Pours an opaque pale golden with a tiny white head. Fresh peachy aroma combined with the lactic acids. Light body, low carbonation, tart citrus accents and again fresh peaches. A perfect summer quencher - this Londoner Weisse. 111112 Leighton (22019) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2012
Keg at the Cock Tavern, London. Pours cloudy yellow with a fine, creamy white head. Has an interesting nose, like tropical fruits that have rotted away in the trash bin; it isn’t altogether bad, though. Light sweet flavor with a hefty, fresh sour kick, some definite peach notes, salt, green grapes. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Fresh, cleansing finish, good and tart, with sour peaches, more salt, very light sugars. Very refreshing stuff.
