Cask at Brodies Easter BF. Hazy gold pour with a faint film. Sour malts on the nose, hints of lemon. Sharp malts in flavor, sour and offensive, along with some tangy citrus. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sour bite lingers into the finish. Something seems amiss here.

On cask (handpump) at Brodies Autumn Festival at the William IV on 4 September 2010. Gold colour. Clean fresh and fruity. Appealing tangy, slightly grassy hops. Never heard of this hop variety before but it seemed to work pretty well. Difficult to place style-wise.

From cask at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild citrusy and malty. Toasted malt, vague cornish and bitter flavoured. Mild toasted malt and subdued fruity finish finish.

Cask at the William IV (Brodies Autumn Fest), 4th Sept 2010. Clear amber. Not much aroma. Superb taste though, lots of good noble hop and cereal notes. Lovely stuff.

Cask på William IV, Leyton 29 Sep 10. Gyldenbrun. Veldig lavt luftig skum. Svakt fruktig aroma. Uklar. Bra fylde. Smaker variert frukt. Forsiktig bitterhet. God.

Half, cask, 6.2% ABV, at The King William IV. Low, lacing-head atop of an unclear gold-amber body. Smell of noble hops with hints of dried fruits. The taste profile is a mix of different citric fruits and berries. Lingering fruit bitter ending. Medium bodied. One of the best beers during three drinking hours at the pub (Leyton, London 29.09.2010).

Cask Conditioned Handpump Old Fountain Old Street. A blonde beer with a whitish head and lace. Grassy hops throughout. Full bodied and decent with hints of citrus. It’s OK. My first Brodies’ beer and visit to this pub. I hope for better times with both.

A Mes rate. Cask at the Southampton.
Clean gold with a thin white head. This is pretty good you know. Clean and mellow, the hops are almost noble-like. Lovely citrus and other fruit, faint, really faint caramel, balance, elegance, superb wheat and straw character, I’m struggling to describe this adequately. It’s very much like a Polish lager, but a really good one. In the time it’s taken me to write this, my glass has emptied. I’m not sure where it went, but I’m sure I drank it, and I know I enjoyed it. Good beer. Damn good brewery.

Cask handpull at William IV pub, Leyton. Gold, thin white head. Some hop on aroma. Slightly sweet strawberry flavour, stinging hop on finish. No idea what style this is. I thought it would be a lager, but it’s more a fruity strong golden ale. Rather enjoyable, only slight syrup denotes the ABV. Interesting and likeable.
