Cask (handpump) @ King William IV, [ Brodies Bunny Basher 2013 ]. 816 High Road, Leyton, London, England E10 6AE.
Dark black brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heav malty, roasted, coffee, chocolate, alcohol - whisky. Flavor is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, coffee, whisky, licorice. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.
Cask at King William IV during the 2013 Bunny Basher Festival - London. Pours black-brown with a frothy beige head. Burnt wood in the nose, with dark baking cocoa, roasty malts. Big sweet flavor but not cloying, with more burnt wood, ash, bitter earth, dried dark fruits, sugary chocolate. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Lightly warming to finish with earthy bitterness, burnt wood, moderately sweet chocolate, semi-dried dark fruits. Great stuff. Stupidly drinkable for the ABV. Keg @ Brewdog Camden. The pour’s deep brown with no head whatsoever. The aroma’s booze-soaked wood, marzipan, vanilla. Some earthy licorice. Fat caramel and butterscotch candy. Strong bourbon. The taste is more earthy licorice and tree bark. Sweet oaky vanilla and creme brulee. Mild roast malts. Sweet boozy tang on he finish. Oily body, slightly thin mouthfeel. Overall, a nice imperial stout. Not my favorite Brodies beer, but a pretty decadent treat.

Brewdog Shoreditch. Almost opaque dark brown beer. Little tan head. Smooth palate, a little soft. Fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts - fresh tasting and clean. Smooth bourbon with a little sweet wood. A touch of that barrel induced emulsion paint bi-product that actually enhances for a change. The bourbon blends well in to some nice fruity character. Mild chocolate in the background. Finishes semi dry with a touch of spice. Very drinkable. Lovely.
Keg at IndyManBeerCon, 2012. It pours opaque black, with a medium white head. The nose is rich-roasted malt, toasted coconut, bourbon, light spice, treacle and marzipan. The taste is roasted malt, treacle, cola, bitter coffee, salted liquorice, Jack Daniels, coconut, oak and chocolate, with a warming finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Smooth, complex and flavoursome. Tasty stuff.
