Bottle. Beyond BB date Dec 2010; Drank Feb 2011 - Opaque Black in colour. Massive amount of sediment. Intense roast malty aroma. Mega-Malty; burnt/roasty malts, liquorice, dark bitter chocolate, roast espresso coffee, burnt sugar, smoke. Viscous, oily. Hoppy; some spicy peppery hops. Fruity; hint of dark fruits. Not surprisingly, alcohol is quite noticeable and very warming. Sweet-bitter burnt malty with a spicy hop edge. Dry roast finish. Liked this. Good Imperial Stout! (2011-02-20)

mcnik (2) - SCOTLAND - APR 21, 2016 does not count
Big licorice note with creosote in the background. Medium to thin mouthfeel, medium to high carbonation for this style. Not finding it as sweet as some other reviewers, more toward the neutral end balanced nicely with the alcohol, which comes forward toward the end. Not a great depth of flavors, a little one dimensional.

Bottle shared @ final old style THT. Opaque black color, average sized light to medium brown colored head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, lightly roast, liquorice. Taste malts, lightly roast and liquorice again, dark malts and some milk chocolate. Slight touch of alcohol, only lightly bitter. Hmm not bad but also not entirely convincing. Decent though.
