Bottle. It comes at 10.5% abv. It pours deep black with a creamy dense beige head. Sweet roasted aroma with tobacco, licorice, cocoa and oak notes. Light dark ripe berries from the whisky. The flavor is dark roasted with sweet whisky notes. Oak and cocoa. Long deep roasted finish. Great stuff.

Imperial stout. Men blød og lækker. Sort, flot og SMUK! Dufter fantastisk. Dejlig fornemmelse i munden, og lang blød eftersmag. Virkelig en god oplevelse. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Christian (13664) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 6, 2016
Black with a thick little tan head. Intense aroma with licorice dominating, along with alcohol, spice and oak/vanilla notes. Sweet and thick flavour with lots of licorice, a hint of smoke, whisky, oak and spice. It’s licorice dominated, but not one dimesional at all, it’s balanced and quite complex if you pay attention. Very well made monster.

On tap at Basement Beer Bar. A black beer topped by a finger thick tan head leaving some curtains. Lightly alcoholic aroma with licorice, brown sugar, heavy caramel, some chocolate sauce and a meaty touch. It’s full bodied as hell, warming and smoothly carbonated, rather sugary sweet on the palate, with tons of flavor. Licorice, heavy caramel sauce, maple syrup, some chocolate and roasted malts. Hints of bonfire. Nice bitterness too, but far from neutralizing the sweetness. Everlasting sweet and warming finish with a hearty dose of licorice. A very, very decent beer indeed. Perhaps a bit on the sweet side, but sure lovely. 160621
