Pours clear gold with a white head. Sweet mild aroma. Flavor is nice. Mild, slightly sweet with a nice grassy finish. Alcohol is hidden very well. A little watery with nice carbination. Very simple but very enjoyable.

Appearance: a clear, pale yellow, with a small, but resilient white head that maintains a thin ring. Aroma: sweetness incarnate, notes of honey and lemon, a bit syrupy and candyish, and still containing vegetable, herbal hints, as well. Body is light and airy, finish short, taste subdued, to speak politely. Bright, sweet honeyish flavor rings through, though, and actually, this flavor profile becomes more pronounced as we go...super-sweet, extra-strong. I hadn’t realized it was 7.8%, and started wondering if it was supposed to be a blonde doppelbock. Or is it a "malt liquor"? A nice, tasty thirst quencher, but as we down the drink, the alcohol becomes more and more evident, the flavor, as it is, gives way to the sweetness and strength, and it becomes warmer and less delicious as we go along. This is a beer that worked at the front, but the deception employed at the start becomes it’s undoing, as it fails to fulfill any brighter promise, than a sweet, strong device for deadening brain waves.

I'm still not sold on Polish beers although this one was better than most. Slightly watery and skunky. Malty & sweet tasting. Smooth palate. Filling. Decent finish.

Ungstrup (38382) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 1, 2003
A golden beer with a beutiful lasting head. The aroma is very malty sweet - somewhat simple. The flavor is malty sweet with notes of grain - but very simple. The palate is quite good - probably the 7.2% ABV (which mine was). An OK Strong Lager.

(Stockholm Beer Festival 2003)Golden, ok head. Not much aroma and not much taste. Except from the feel of alcohol.

wnp22 (698) - Toronto (Roncesvalles Village), Ontario, CANADA - SEP 7, 2003
Tasted in Toronto from LCBO. Dark yellow colour, with a light white head - persistent. Light subtle scent with hints of grainy malt. Taste has malty depth and has a slightly sweet dominence. The alcohol content is not dominent in the taste.

shorlin (736) - St. John’s, Newfoundland, CANADA - AUG 21, 2003
Yellow and nothing much to look at. Head dies quite quickly. Brewed with "passion"? I guess passion is Polish for skunky smell. Watery, thin, nothing very interesting.

OlJuntan64 (1264) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 12, 2003
Pale urinous yellow clear with minimal short lasting white head. Very faint stale hops and lightly acid (vinegar?) aroma. Thin bland body. Mildly skunky and characterless soda watery flavours. Don't bother

Kåstå (1272) - Mol, BELGIUM - AUG 10, 2003
Light blond with a small head.Hop aroma and taste. Some odd unpleasant taste is present.

2.9
Aurelius (5562) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 13, 2003
Good bottle with the embossed logo, gold lager with beady white head. The higher ABV is well-covered. Lightly malty with an underlying Saaz and alcohol burn. Lightly sweet and tart fizzy finish.
