2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Head: beige, medium, frothy, below avg. retention. Colour: deep amber red, almost black.
Aroma: strong anise, some roasted malt, if you really try. Taste: again lots of anise, rather sweet, roasted bitterness.
I have to admit, anise is not my favourite type of flavour.
Aroma is anise and liquor candy. Color is very dark, almost black with amber reflections, the head is thick and stays a while. Looks beautiful! Lots of anise and ginger syrup sweetness. Anise in the foreground everywhere. Not well balanced. Hardly any palatal experience. No bitterness. Similar to Gniewosz Korzenne, but better. andriesradu (707) - ROMANIA - MAY 26, 2013
