Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a hazy golden orange color with a two finger white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Messy clingy lace. The aroma had some orange pulp, vanilla, and some banana sweetness. Clove, well, that leaves a bit to be desired. The flavor yields to the sweetness of the prior mentioned aromas. Weird aftertaste for a hefeweizen as it seems to engage some of that vanilla and almost have a little bit of pie-like flavor. Super sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a decent sessionable feel about it. Carbonation felt fairly light. ABV felt as projected by the brewer. Overall, if this a German hefeweizen, then I am Mickey Mouse. I usually like Broken Tooth beers, but well, hmmmmmm....I’m left scratching my beard on this one.

An average American attempt. I get a bit of banana in the taste no cloves anywhere nose is fruity. Tasted good at the movie theater. A bit fizzy and yellow.

Draft at the source. Hazy to cloudy golden yellow color. Aroma of citrus and banana. Taste is lemony banana.

Draught at Moose’s Tooth. Pours cloudy orange with a small, frothy white head, short retention with spare lacing. And some douchebag decided my glass needed a fucking lemon slice. Minus a hundred brazilion points for that shitty move. Aroma is earthy wheat malt, lemon (see previous rant), light bananas and cloves. How the fuck am I supposed to adequately decipher this American German Hefeweizen from all others with a lemon slice stuck on the glass? Flavor is tart lemon, earthy wheat malt, light bananas and spicy cloves with a dry, pithy lemon finish (thanks assbag). Light body and medium carbonation. This probably would not be any better without the damn lemon slice so I guess it is fine the junior Beer Advocate hipster put the fucking lemon slice on my glass.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy yellow, minimal head. Aroma of malt and lemon citrus; similar taste. Light body with good carbonation. Decent hefe, fairly refreshing.

4oz pour at the brew pub.Pours a hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, banana, and light citrus. Flavor of lemon, banana, wheat, and some clove. Ok not great but it is aka ska and they are known more for their heavier beers. Still good.

[Tap] Part of a sampler at the brewpub in early September. Pours a hazy light yellow color. Not much foam on top. Yeasty aroma of banana, mild citrus and distinct vanilla. Sweet and cloying Wheaties cereal background mingles with some bubblegum in the taste. Hints of oxidation. Was looking for more of a robust body here. I really like the style, but not this particular offering.

Pale neon yellow pour with a little lacing. Whet flavor with a good bite from the carbonation. A good refreshing beer, although it seems to be missing something I can’t quite put my finger on.

Hazy light golden color/ lasting white head. Lemon meringue pie sweet tart aromas of vanilla, pie crust, lemon. light bodied. Decent lemony tart wheat, pale malt lightly sweet flavors. No real hefe yeast essence here.
