UPDATED: JUL 26, 2010 On tap at the Mooses Tooth. A consistently great stout. Roasty rich aroma. Totally black in appearance with a light brown head. The taste is malty and smooth with a slight coffee and chocolate roasted flavor. Superb!

Growler from the pun. Pours black with a medium tan head. Has a nice malty aroma. Full bodied taste and just the right amount of hops to balance it out. Top notch stout.

Draft@ the Pizza Pub. Mahogany color with a light tan head, very light color for a stout. MIld aroma of medium roasted malts. Medium body. Has a mild, dry roasty malt flavor that is sweetened by a taste of black licorice.

[1685-20080906] Tap. Mild grainy roast malt aroma. Dark brown body with a medium-lasting creamy light tan head. Boozy roasted coffee malt flavour. Full body has noticeable alcohol. Big kick initially, nice stout.

2008-09-06. Pitch black body with a modest tan head. (4+) Mild roasty malt aroma. Flavour is fairly sweet, light roast malt is pervasive but surprisingly not assertive. Smooth average plus palate is light for a stout. (3+) Decent, but I preferred the porter I think. On tap at the brewpub.
