UPDATED: NOV 19, 2010 (tap) listed now as just ’Raspberry Wheat’; cloudy reddish colour with small reddish head; aroma of raspberry, cereal; taste is raspberry, balanced, not sweet or cloying or artificial like many fruit beers, light short bitter finish, excellent - the best raspberry wheat I have had yet AKHenry (2) - USA - JAN 8, 2008 does not count
A nice sweet alternative to the heavier beers. Goes down easy with a flavor that isn’t over done, just enough for your tastebuds to remember. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - DEC 20, 2014
On tap at Humpy’s in the Anchorage airport.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to red color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head that dissipated within seconds. Light stringy lacing slid down at a nice pace.
The smell had a good authentic raspberry up front, nice and lively.
The taste was the same carrying a light wheaty bite in the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was a bit lowered but shows no concern given the wheat plays a bigger part to even the beer out.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good raspberry wheat ale that I would have again. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 22, 2005
A different and popular beer at the Moose’s Tooth. Color has a nice purple tinge that suits the raspberry addition well. Raspberry dominates the aroma and flavor all the way through but it gives the beer a nice tartness and is certainly enjoyable, though the palate is a bit distracting with too muh carbonation and bite. iamsancho16 (99) - USA - NOV 17, 2006
The Moose’s Tooth Brewery serves the best pizza in town, along with some of the most amazing beer.
If you are a fan of fruitty beer, this will be perfect for you.

6/19/2009: Moose’s Tooth continues to impress me. Their Raspberry Wheat beer has a super fresh and sugary raspberry aroma. The beer exhibits toffee wheat malt expertly blended with plenty of real raspberry flavor. This boddy has a medium-light body, a pinkish honey color, and a white head. They did a fantastic job on this fruit beer!
Draught (sample) at The Moose’s Tooth in Anchorage, Alaska. Rating #13 for this beer.
Refreshing beer with some nice raspberry flavors and aromas. Chewy-sweet wheatgerm notes. Mild to moderate bitterness. Easy to drink and relatively flavorful. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - OCT 12, 2011
[Tap] Part of a sampler at the brewpub in early September. Light magenta pour with no head. Tart raspberry, honey and wheat malts in the nose. Similar flavoring, with raspberry being the main theme here. Not too sweet, which is a good thing. Tastes like there may be some rhubarb or dry fruit wine characteristics to it. Prickly carbonation. Good flavor profile, but lacking the body that would propel this beer to the next level. rondphoto (4464) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JUN 16, 2015
on tap @ Humpy’s / Anchorage AK --- Hazy medium amber with a blush of red, white head cover, bands of lace. Light aroma of malt and fruit. Taste is mild malt that adds understated tart raspberry on the swallow, followed by a whisper of hops in a medium finish. It works very well. This is a beer with raspberry, not a raspberry beer, if you get my drift. aracauna (3616) - Georgia, USA - JUN 25, 2005
Cloudy color darker than Ruby Red Grapefruit juice. Good raspberry aroma. Fruit is dominant in flavor. Wheat comes through nicely in the finish. Perhaps a touch medicinal.
