on tap at Firewaters, AC. Amber in color small off white head. Aroma was pretty subdued, with caramel, biscuit, and light notes of spice. Taste was caramel, light notes of toasty malt, subtle spicyness. This was pretty light bodied and not too exciting. 3fourths (9377) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 9, 2007

Kind of tastes like nothing. Draft pint at a local bar, the appearance was nice, red and orange colored body under a nice foamy white head, slightly cloudy, but it smelled empty and tasted the same. If I had to make an effort, I would say it smelled a little bit of candy sugar and some very, very light grains, lightly sweet as well. I thought my tongue had died because I tasted nothing.
reddish body, big white fluffy head in the tulip, but it faded rather fast ...aroma was light tones of yeast, apple, and citrus...flavors are very mild...apple, hay,yeast...a little on the flat side and very thin texture...overall a pretty refreshing drink on a hot NC afternoon Zeswaft (1787) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 28, 2007
decent but a little weak. fruity but it didn’t seem very belgian........... georgekappus (296) - Brookfield, Connecticut, USA - MAY 27, 2007
On tap at Crew, Poughkeepsie. Had a sample to satisfy our curiosity. Sometimes curiousity does kill the cat. This beer poured light amber. The aroma was somewhat fruity and the taste didn’t offer much more. Unfortunatley this was a disappointing effort by Brooklyn.

Draft/growler from Party Town Florence, KY. Aroma yeast, and light floral. Flavor is strangely the same, with maybe, a candy sweetness to it. Like Shigadeyo said, it just doesnt set itself apart. Nevertheless; I like it. Simple but sweet, just like Spring baby. TomDecapolis (4636) - Milton, Delaware, USA - MAY 18, 2007
On tap at Blue Dog Pub in Lansdale. Pours a translucent golden amber with a foamy/bubbly off white head. Aroma of floral, citrus and grainy notes. Flavor of grainy malts, tea, touch of honey...not really what I was expecting. Tmoney99 (15215) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 18, 2007
Draft from growler from Party Town. Poured clear reddish amber color with an minimal fizzy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate spicy fruit aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Medium spicy sweet flavor with a medium sweet fruity finish of moderate duration. Interesting drinkable brew. shigadeyo (3856) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 16, 2007
5/16/2007: Brooklyn Antwerpen Ale pours a very clear, bright coppery-bronze color. It has a frothy beige head and very little visible carbonation. Light malt, citrus, and a delicate spice are evident in the aroma. The flavor seems bready/doughy (biscuit) with some light fruitiness, a hint of caramel, and some citrus and lightly spicy hop notes. Overall this beer is very well balanced with a bit of dryness part way in and through the finish. The palate is soft, smooth, clean, but a bit thin at times. Like all Brooklyn brews, this one is well made, extremely drinkable and not offensive. Brooklyn Antwerpen Ale is good, but nothing special as there is nothing that really really sets this beer apart from others made in the same style...

On tap at My Place in Newtown, CT. Grainy malt aroma with hints of yeast. Dark orange color. Mellow caramel malts flavor and slight amount of fruityness. Not bitter in the finish.
