A warming sensation after each sip and the bourbon barrel is evident in the flavor. I didn’t get too much choc or coffee flavor but did like the malty body.
Cask at Rattle n Hum West, NYC. Pours black, minimal beige head. Strong coffee nose, chocolate, strong bourbon character, warming, sweet, smooth. Low carbonation, almost flat. Medium bodied. Lacks body and thickness IMO. rondphoto (4508) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JAN 5, 2018
on tap @ Party Town (Friday Night Flights) / Florence KY --- Aroma of burlap and malt. Opaque black, brown head that sinks to a heavy rim, bands of lace. Taste is lightly roasted malt that grows into an alcohol laced swallow. Bittering is already present, so all that's left is a long lingering finish. Good stuff. commonmac (1367) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 29, 2017
On tap at Happy Gnome with Highendtully. Stupid bowling pin glass. Pitch black with minimal head. Aroma is chocolatey and even more chocolate. Taste follows suit with deep rich chocolate taking center stage. A hint of whiskey peat bringing an alcohol punch. A little one dimensional but vanilla comes into play towards the end. An interesting rendition of a chocolate stout but not quite as a good as I wanted. jsmerig (1719) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 12, 2017
Pours a dark black with a tan head. Aroma of vanilla and burbon. Not too boozy smooth and refined. ffaoe (1012) - Moorestown, New Jersey, USA - DEC 11, 2017

Bottle picked up from Wine Rack at Yarnton Nurseries, Yarnton, Oxon, consumed at Lighthouse Keepers Cottages, Lynton, Devon Friday 1st December 2017 shared with Baz, Dom and Loz Pours dark brown with a light tan head. A very nice uncomplicated Barrel Aged Imperial Stout and quite the contrast from the Founders Lizard of Koz, the barrel ageing is really pleasant. Poured pretty much pitch black in color with a thin brown head.
Lots of dark chocolate notes, barrel notes, massive roastedness.
Coffee in flavor, roastedness, dark chocolate and some oaky thing.
Full bodied, heavy, sweet and quite complex with layers of flavors.
Slow sipper. jsquire (4662) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - OCT 17, 2017
2016 bottle. Mahogany colored beer with a short lived beige head. Big alcohol nose. Lots of thin boutbon flavors, milk chocolate and alcohol. Seems dominated by the bourbon barrel.
