We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Malts: Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, German Pilsner Malt

Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300

Citrus, fruits, grass, grains and a hint of pepper in the aroma. Amber with a white head.Medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with a soft carbonation. Overall a perfectly nice DIPA, but i expected a bit more bitterness.

HellesBunny666 (243) - Virginia, USA - JUN 7, 2014
Sharp and citrussy aromas, lemongrass. Very fresh and crisp. Juicy. Pineapple, lemon, star fruit.

Emeister84 (2505) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JUN 7, 2014
Aromas of oranges, white peach, maybe parsimmon, subtle tropical fruit, some slight caramel, some honey. Clear orange-amber with a lasting white head. Off-dry, bitter, spicy hops, some sweet malt. Light-medium bodied, finishes pretty abrupty, and pretty clean, some lingering hops, some heat.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark gold with thin head and nice glass lacing. Fruity nose; citrusy hops with a hint of licorice at the end. Fills the palate with grassy and citrus hops. Very hop forward for a dipa, and easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours out a lightly cloudy orange color with a very small white head. Aroma is of cracker and biscuit malts, light herbal bitterness, not much on the nose. Taste improves, biscuity malts, light sweetness, mild grass, citrus, grainy notes. It’s solid but lacks complexity.

sloth (2906) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - JUN 6, 2014
Thin, off white head thats short lived, spotty lace. Murky, blond colored body. Nose is a hint resiny with juicy citrus notes. Body is med/full with a soft carbonation, lil oily, lil resiny and grainy. Citrus greets you with a dry maltiness backing it up. Tame grapefruit notes, light pine and floral notes, grainy malts, dry. Tame finish with a lil warmth and an equally tame bite. Better than exxpected though. Bottle from statelineliquors.

Tasted @ home (Norway). Bottle. Import. Nice amber to gold color. OK head retention at first, reduced to a thin lace after a while. Aroma of citrus, malt, caramel and a hint of metal. Flavor of malt, caramel, alcohol, grass, with decent bitterness. Feels a bit dry on the palate.

WVHouseofBeer (1068) - West Virginia, USA - JUN 3, 2014
Very nice beer and complex beer. The high alcohol never shows itself and this is actually an easy drinker. Aromas of pine, sap, citrus and a little malty caramel sweetness. Flavors consisting of the same along with a good amount of bitterness. Medium bodied. I could drink this all day.
