COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Malts: Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, German Pilsner Malt

Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, small stable creamy head, hazy lightish orange colour, fruity aroma with some citrus and vanila, dusty malty flavour, with a light fruity hoppiness, strong bitterness. Not too good.

Bottle. Pours clear light amber with 1 finger of ivory head, large bubbles. Minimal lacing. Aroma is a battle between the floral, citrusy hops and the bready malts. Taste is similar, a hit of honey sweetness followed by resiny hops, along with notes of peach and orange. Plenty of malt, but the hop bitterness persists through the finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Didn’t meld well for me; a good, but not great DIPA.

Bottle from Total Wine in Jensen Beach - saving a bit yet, but had inspiration from reading article from the brewer, thanks bro! Pours Poured an orangey yellow with an off white head. Almost no lacing. Aroma has citrus and pine. And more citrus and pine. A bit of bubblegum later. Taste is of citrus and pine, heavy resin, and some sweeter caramelly malts in the solid backbone. Medium bodied and sticky. Light alcohol presence. Finishes more to the bitter side of bittersweet. This is not a top 10 DIPA, or even close to it, but it is solid and tasty, and likely this breweries’ best offering.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks zvikar. Hazy golden. Hoppy aroma, slightly stale, a bit fruity. Flavor has some chewy malt sweetness and lots of bitter hops, fruity and a bit piney. Medium-bodied.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker glass. Almost clear gold with a decent airy white head. Hoppy nose - some fruit, some pine, some floral. Caramel and honey as well. Sweetish malt, some alcohol, juicy hop flavor (ripe fruits), tea, caramel, med-hi bitterness. Med-full body, somewhat balanced, though a bit tired. OK.

amber color; citrusy, floral hop aroma; a fantastic well balanced beer with plenty of bitter, citrusy hop flavor on a bready malt base

Hazy orange amber copper. Big fluffy cotton white head that laces down to a nice coating. Aroma is candied caram ale malts and tropical citrus. Taste follows with an abrupt piney bitter hop finish. Aftertaste brings back echoes of sweet citrus with a base of booze and bitter. Decent.
