We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Malts: Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, German Pilsner Malt

Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300

Pour is a orange juice lookalike with a small white head. Aroma is full of mango, peach and pineapple. So fruity and fresh. Flavor is again a super fresh tropical fruit but then you also get thee maris otter malt which gives the beer a bready and earthy richness. All those hop varieties really make this beer. So fruity, a bit minty and not bitter at all. This was a awesome beer and those fruity hops are outstanding.

I had a actuality had Blast drinking this double IPA!!! Doesn't drink like an 8.4% be warned! :) Sits in the glass golden with thin/medium head. On the nose ripe Mango with hits of Pineapple and Lime with Orange peal in the background. Bottle. Nice smell and look. Tastes slightly bitter with lasting after taste. Reasonably priced in NY.

Pours golden with medium head. Aroma: ripe white fruit, such as mango, grapes. Some citrus, orange in the background. Taste: a lot of lemon and orange at first, followed by peach, some grapes. Palate is nicely hoppy, medium lasting time of the bitterness. Overall very goid DIPA. No sign of the 8,4% ABV at all. I must admit I drank this pretty old - 1 month before the BBD.

YEAH!!!!!

Wow echt coole Mischung!

Renobob (2064) - Besançon, FRANCE - MAR 5, 2016
Bue en bouteille de 355ml. Blonde orangée, fine mousse blanche. Nez houblonné, pêche, légèrement boisé. Palais corpulent, alcool présent, effervescence moyenne, belle complexité. Amertume finale longue, pointe d’acidité boisée. Cool.
