COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Malts: Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, German Pilsner Malt

Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300

Changed (462) - Ithaca, New York, USA - JAN 19, 2016
Draft @ ICC. Pours slightly hazy yellow, white head, a little lacing. Aroma is resinous hop. Flavor is the same hop profile, and some tropical fruits. Booze burn is there, but not unpleasant when cold. I could see how it would become unpleasant when warmed. Medium to high carbonation, bitter hop finish. Kind of oily mouthfeel. Good, but intense beer that leaves something slightly to be desired.

VDuquerroux (1688) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - DEC 14, 2015
Bottle, 35.5cL. Home. A golden orange-yellow opaque beer with a medium white foamy head ; medium retention. Fruits (citrus, tropical fruits, red berries), resin, alcohol. Medium to heavy dry bitter ; medium sweet ; warming. Full body, average texture, oily (too much), average carbonation, dry fruity warming lasting finish. Overall, definitely enjoyable but much too much warming (unbalanced) and oily...

Jado (798) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - DEC 12, 2015
355 ml bottle. Hazy golden body capped by a thin white head that subsides to a collar. Aromas of crusty bread, stewed apricots, flowers, lemon, spice and a bit of ’hot’ alcohol. Taste has a sharp lemon and pine bitterness up front before some fruity notes of stonefruit emerge along with citrus and pepper. Crisply bitter citrus finish.

Quel goût ! Une note de pamplemousse de l’amertume, un régal pour les papilles. Splendide.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Hazy yellow color with almost no head. Aroma has just some dank hops but nothing much going on. Taste is also hoppy, kind of earthy, also some alcohol. Body is medium with crisp carbonation. Nothing much going on with this beer.

On tap at Store House in New York. Flavorful, but leaves an aftertaste that just doesn't do it for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Grumbo (2950) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2015
Bottle shared at the Ale House, Chelmsford. Pours a cloudy amber colour with a small white head. Aroma of hop, caramel, bread and sweet malt. Medium sweetness, bitterness comes through. Very drinkable but not got the wow factor this style can deliver.

Bottle. Golden orange color. Aroma of peachy caramel and citrus. Taste of peach, orange, sweet caramel and mild citrus. Quite malty, it’s a bit folder I think. Still nice.
