COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Malts: Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, German Pilsner Malt

Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300

From a growler. A: Smells very piney. An earthy citrus smell. A: Looks fine. Head is small. color is reddish amber. T: When cold very piney and earthy. A sort of body odor funk on the back of the palate. This beer gets better as it warms. It keeps that sort of pine note but the BO funk disappears. Goes down easy... almost too easy: light and not overly flavorful. P; Rough when cold. good when warm. A little light. Good hop balance. Was gonna give it a three but if you let it linger it has a nice creaminess. And after the beer is a bit warmer it can sit on the palate comfortably for a long while. Much better than many IPAs. Overall like mentioned above this beer is gross when its cold, but very good when it’s warm. Nice pine note in the hops and extremely easy to drink. A very great brew.

Aroma: mix of citrus, honey and grass Taste: balanced taste of malt, grapefruit, pine and herbs. Moderate bitterness in the aftertaste appearing in a while. Tried after black ops and cloaking device, so perception could be not clear.

(Brooklyn Blast!) Bottle 355ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 8.4% Deep orange colour on the body, mostly clear, with a small but thick white head on top. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, orange, tangerine. Taste has citrus, grapefruit, caramel malts, ripe peaches, pine on the finish, quite hoppy. Medium body. Nice one.

Bottled, 355ml from Beermerchants of Kent. Clear amber with white head. I found quite an odd, farmy aroma in this, just a touch off-putting. The beer itself was clean and fresh, fruity malts, then fruity, tropical hop notes. There is an earthy character to this late on. Pretty reasonable.

Spicy hop aromas are a bit one-dimensional. This beer is candy sweet while also packing a bitter, abrupt finish. An initial hop bite is followed by a hoppy/caramelly center. With little finish, this is a short beer with a unique palate.
