COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

This is exactly what I envision a brown ale should taste like. It is thick, creamy and malty. The ale is nice and hoppy and pours a nice happy brown color. So far, this is my favourite of the Brooklyn beers that I have tried.

Poured a dark, ruby red brew. The head was medium, tan, and frothy. The aroma was light, spicy, and sweet. The taste was sweet, with hints of molasses. The palate was thin and crisp. The finish was slightly hoppy.

Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - OCT 19, 2006
Draft, this is an excellent brown. Aroma choclate and a bit roasty, with a hint of hop bitterness. Full flavors of chocolate, coffee, yet still within the typical flavor profile of a good brown ale, not a porter at all. Shockingly hoppy finish for a brown, some nice pine notes and distinct bitterness, maybe a hint of grapefruit. Really a very nice brown.
