COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Brown and clear with a minimal head. Aroma is malty, roasted with some hops. Flavour starts semi-sweet wiht nice roasted malts before turning somewhat bitter from the hops. Smooth and full but I prefer lighter hops and more malt body in my brown ales.

bottle. dark brown with some ruby highlights near the bottom of the glass. Aroma chocolately, lightly roasty, and nutty. Taste is creamy throughout the palate, lightly nutty, light amounts of chocolate and some roast, with a good balanced hop finish.

Bottled. Not much can be said that hasn’t already been touched on. A good beer, but not a new castle.

Rich, dark amber. Smells like fresh bread with some spices. Lots of roasted caramel type flavors with a slightly dry hoppy finish.

Bottle: Nutty brown color, creamy off-white head and light lacing. The nose is nutty with some caramel and pie crust notes along with some fairly strong hop notes. The flavor is sweet and hoppy with a nice caramel ’feel’. The finish is balanced, nice nutty character. Light roast, fairly acidic. Nice body. Above average brown, but that’s not saying much. Thanks Buckeyeboy!

Bottle pours a nice redish brown with a small but lasting tan head. Soft slightly spicy, toasted malt aroma w/ apples and cinnomon, Flavor is nutty and slightly sweet. Soft carbonation and a smoth feel. Thanks Buckeyeboy

12 oz. Bottle: Clear dark brown with a comfortable light brown head. Woody, nutty, toffee aromas. The taste is a bit tangy at first and is followed by a sweet candy flavor. The feel is pretty thin and there is a slight lemon flavor in the lingering aftertaste. Thanks BuckeyeBoy!
