Jimbo2 (474) - DENMARK - JUL 17, 2017

Lively brown ale, off-white head. Caramel, cocoa and raisins in the aroma. Flavour is rich and malty, with some fruit and chocolate and toffee. A touch of bitter, maybe citric, hop in there as well and that aspect of it lingers too. Quite an interesting mix of things going on here. nihtila (3635) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 6, 2017
Keg at ECBF. Nose is dry caramel, tastes similar, nutty, light, quite basic brown. ironcontra (269) - POLAND - MAY 30, 2017
On tap @ Edinburgh Beer Festival. An acceptable ale which isnt sweet enough to tire and decently refreshing but really nothing to seek out. eRock_2013 (468) - South Carolina, USA - MAY 29, 2017
From the bottle, this refined brown ale pours an appealing semi-opaque amber-brown chestnut color with a crisp white foamy head, looks rather hearty. Aroma is a uniquely complex malty profile, notes of caramel toffee, cocoa, other roasty malt notes. Taste follows as a thoroughly toasted palate of caramel malty flavors, predominantly of toffee I would say. Some mild hoppy notes, but the malt nuances do the heavy lifting. Medium-bodied and smooth, but not as creamy as advertised. Overall still an excellent display of the wide range of flavors that can be gleaned from malt alone. erikaraeb (218) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 29, 2017
Mild, malty, toffee-like aroma. Similar on the taste, though a bit watery. A good "starter" brown ale.
