Brooklyn Brown Ale, made exclusively with American ingredients, won Bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival in the Strong Ale Category in 1991 and in the American Brown Ale Category in 1992. Brooklyn Brown uses pale, crystal, chocolate, and black malts to attain a complex creamy texture. It is more heavily hopped than its British forbears.

Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma has light chocolate and faint smokiness. Flavor has chocolate and nice roastiness...some burnt notes and very faint earthy/spicy hops...hint of smokiness. Mouthfeel is medium/full and creamy with an earthy/hoppy roasty finish.

Cerveza oscura color marrn rojizo con ligera espuma beige y poca retencin. Aromas a caf, caramelo y malta tostada. En boca predomina el sabor a malta tostada, ctricos y lpulo. Tiene un leve amargor balanceado con final dulce y sabores a frutos secos. Cuerpo ligero, carbonatacin baja y poco alcohlica.

Bottle from Netto 15DK. Dark brown, thin tan head. Delicious malty aroma: Caramel, rye bread. Taste: Dark bread, semi burned caramel - taste is a bit too anonymous for me. Texture is waterish.

I bought this beer in one Coop in Lausanne, in promotion. I drank it today at home, peacefully. I was pleasantly surprised about this beer and until now it is the best one that I tried from this brewery. The body is black/brown, thin foam, normal carbination. The taste is what you could expect from a brown ale, sweet, malty, toffee, some hop, really pleasant at the mouth, good job.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown color. Medium-sized rocky beige head with nice lacing. Earthy toasted malt nose hints at chocolate and herbal hops. Some dark caramel notes, nuts and brown bread. Slightly spicy citrus hops in finish. Cramy mouthfeel and easy to quaff. Very good.

Ive had this beer many a time and come back for more. It exactly what one wants from a brown ale, expect perhaps the alcohol which is slightly higher to my likening. Good body.

In a mystery case from Beer hawk. Nice sweetish brown ale. Dark brown and a thin head. Little too sweet for my palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle at home in a Hoegaarden snifter. Dark brown with a tan head. Dark fruit and chocolate aroma. Prunes, chocolate, leather and cooked veg flavours. Creamy texture. Not my favourite style, but not bad.

Clear dark brown color with beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, roast, dark chocolate. Taste was a nice surprise. This brown ale is stoutlike, strong taste, notes of chocolate and sugar. Very, very nice brown ale.
