Poured from growler into a snifter
Appearance – The body of the beer pours a nice golden-orange color with a very small foamy white head. The head fades rather fast leaving some light foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is a rather nice blend of sweet and spice. There is a nice level of toffee and honey sweetness mixed with a lighter level of an orange and banana sweetness. The spice is biggest of a coriander and clove, but also has good levels of saffron and allspice joining as well. Along with these aromas, are some nice notes of a yeasty nature, some grass, and a nice doughy smell. Overall, with a light lemon aroma, the smell is very sweet and soothing.
Taste - the taste begins with a nice doughty flavor matched with lots of honey and toffee sweetness. A cracker flavor comes to fruition quickly in the taste and is joined by other flavors of a more yeasty like nature. The spice is present from the start, but gets quite a bit more potent as the flavor advances. It is heaviest of a clove and coriander flavor with a lighter saffron flavor that is persistent throughout the taste. Some lemongrass and citrus comes to the tongue more toward the end. With the spice getting even stronger as the taste advances to its finish, and with a banana and light pepper flavor coming to the tongue, a very pleasant and smooth flavor is left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the slicker and more viscous side with a carbonation that consists of tiny, champagne like bubbles. The moderate level of prickly carbonation bubbles in conjunction with the slicker body are very nice for the spice and sweet nature of the brew creating a wonderful, yet soothing mouthfeel.
Overall – This is a wonderfully spiced and quite pleasant drinking brew. It has a wonderful smell, taste and feel… If only it was more accessible and put in a bottled format. Very tasty.

Orange amber with rimming offwhite head; smoky fruit aroma some hints of perfumy funky yeasty niceness; Flava is rich malty fruity yeasty grainy complexness Belgian sugary yeastiness and hints of hops; feels light medium and fizzy; finishes dry yet sweet almost like a cigar lingering on the tongue with good memories FaithHealer1 (358) - SCOTLAND - OCT 15, 2013
Keg at North Bar, Leeds. Pours a straw yellow, finger of head. Aroma is brilliant: up close, it’s banana, clove, honey, toffee, classic Tripel. At a bit more of a distance, the vapours smell like incense sticks! Taste is great as well - soft toffee, banana, clove, a little bit of orange, cinnamon (almost apple pie), plenty more spice. Long finish, very nicely balanced: not too cloying, bitterness doesn’t overcompensate. Lovely stuff, really nice. bob_w (373) - new york, New York, USA - SEP 27, 2013
Really nice spicy, clove aroma. a little bit of esters. Hazy medium gold color, reasonable head. Complex melange of spice flavors melding with a tangy, sweet malt note, finishing with a balanced bitter note. Solid body.

On tap. Lightly hazy golden-amber with a creamy ring of bubbles. Aroma of clove, banana, caramel, light citrus. Tastes of spicy banana, caramel, orange, vanilla, honeycomb, light spicy dry grass and pith. Medium body is smoothly carbonated and has a nice dry finish with no hint of the 8.2%. digopossobon (392) - MACAE, BRAZIL - OCT 21, 2013

Overall, a nice easy cuvee with good belgian presence and mild fruit/spice presence. Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 11, 2013
Pours orange/golden, with hints of lemon grass and thai curry flavours. Then it moves on to bubblegum and some sourdough bread notes. Waves of sweetness followed up with a dry kick. Through in some Belgian style spices and you have a serious beer. onceblind (10290) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Hazy gold like a hefeweizen but with no head. Nose has a lot of Belgian yeast funk with barn hay and musk and straw and faint fruitiness. The flavor is big and grainy, with lots of hay and pils malt, with a saison-like yeast dough eccentricity of funk and hay and a hefty load of coriander. Very lovely.
