Al’s Mild is a delicious, easy-to-drink 4% abv brew that provides a soft, round, comforting experience. The varied grain bill helps create a beer that is deep dark brown in color, but very easy on the palate, and low enough in alcohol to sip over a good long session. There’s a pleasant hint of mild tanginess in the finish of this sturdy but gentle ale. BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 28, 2012
[keg at the Brooklyn Brewery] Reddish brown pour with a thin, cream-coloured head. Looks every inch the mild. Smells like one too – earthy, nutty and minimalist on the aroma. Tastewise, starts off roasty before becoming fruity and earthy, then the finish appears so quickly and everything stops. This is bang on – milds aren’t going to set the Ratebeerians going, but this will do for me beerandbeyond (708) - ISRAEL - OCT 31, 2012
On tap at the brewery, plastic cup.
Clear dark brown with red hues, small beige head.
Coffee nose with nice roastiness, soft cocoa, earthy hops and hazelnuts.
Nutty and chocolaty flavors, low bitterness.
Light body, highly drinkable and quite nice. blipp (9929) - La Mesa, California, USA - OCT 25, 2012
Draft. Pours amber with a beige head. Nutty malts, light sweetness, and light earthy bitterness. Relatively clean. Not bad; certainly drinkable. jredmond (8839) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 19, 2012
Draft at Barcade during the Anniversary party with Max, Zack, Tom, Brian, Pearl and Andy. Pours a deep brownish black body with thin off white foamy head. Aroma is light fruity malt and oats. Mouthfeel is thin with similar notes in the flavor. Very bland overall.

tap at barcade: alright, what asshole misspelled this? Chocolatey with oats and a dark maltedness. Raisins and a vague nuttiness. I feel like this should be sweeter. Finsh is dry, thin with a metallic afterbite. tgncc (3145) - Bellmore, New York, USA - OCT 18, 2012
First rating!!!!! The aroma is nutty, chocolate. The appearance is deep brown, off-white head. The flavor is nutty, chocolatey. The finsh is dry, nutty, chcolate. Not especially sweet throughout. Medium/thin in body. Like a weak brown ale, Boring, but faithful to the style. Ok overall.
