UPDATED: APR 13, 2004 Hate do disagree with everyone,... but. This is one of the hoppiest IPA's out there. More so than hopdevil, SN, or 3F's dreadnaught. If your a hophead you'll love this. An abundance of floral hops flows into awe inspiring bitterness. A great strong American IPA.
re-rate (4/12/04): Don't know what I was on but it must have been good. Needs some cascades/cetennial. Plenty bitter but wasy too one-dimensional. TAR (2802) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - JAN 9, 2002
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2005 Deeply toasty and biscuity, accented by a minerally dryness and sufficient earthy hop brashness. Solidly done. Volgon (2761) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 22, 2001
A solid IPA, more on the English rather than West Coast style. Great malt taste. MainerInExile (41) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 28, 2001
Pretty good pale ale. I prefer the hoppier American style IPA, but this still had enough hops to keep me happy.

above average pale. this company could do better considering..... but i do enjoy pales, and this will work. VA Homebrewer (524) - Portsmouth, Virginia, USA - SEP 30, 2001
What a great English style IPA. Wonderful spicy hop aroma is completely different than the citrusy, harsh hop aroma of American style IPAs. Malt character is in good balance with the hoppy aroma, flavor and bitterness. Deep copper color with little head. Less bitter than most IPAs, but quite drinkable and worth a look. Wow. This beer packs a big punch, both in flavor and alcohol............... Oakes (19550) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 3, 2001
Light amber; Rich aroma - lots of floral hops and chewy maltiness; robust bitterness but balanced off with a fair bit of malt. Strikes a compromise between the American and English interpretations of the style. Rosendale Brewmeister99 (55) - Rosendale, New York, USA - AUG 29, 2001
A fine example of an IPA. True to the style................................
