Aroma: The nose has yeast, wheat, a good amount of spice, and some banana notes
Appearance: This one pours a slightly unclear golden-orange color with a white head
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet, with wheat and banana, and some spice/clove for balance
Palate: The body is medium, though it leans light, it drinks decently, with a spicy tingly, and a good finish
I thought this was a pretty interesting beer, but it was not a real standout for me, just solid. I’d certainly drink it again, and many breweries could do worse then to have this as the wheat in their line-up.
Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with a medium white head...nice lacing. Aroma has light coriander, clove, and banana. Flavor has coriander and lime...rindy...pepper, wheat, and earthy bitterness. Mouthfeel is full and creamy with a dry, spicy/bitter finish. rlgk (18852) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 8, 2012
Draught at Ginger Man, NYC. Golden/copper beer with a small offwhite head. Yeasty spicy aroma, coriander, pepper, maybe some cinnamon, banana notes, grassy hops, bready, caramel notes, citrus, some hoppy bitterness. Yeasty floral flavor, quite spicy, pepper, coriander, hoppy, fruity notes, some banana showing late, along with caramel and some alcohol. Spicy fruity finish. Tap at Ginger Man. Pale golden pour. The nose is a little bit wheaty and very fruity. A light spiciness and a lot of yeast character. There is an almost blueberry-like character to the brew that is pretty unique. Peppery with the faintest hint of allspice towards the back. Understated but very delicious. An interesting take on a style that hasn’t been interesting for quite some time.

With 390,490 and 590 clogged with traffic, I took the back roads thru the city and ended up at the Tap and Mallet. Pours cloudy gold with white head. Nose and taste of sweet fruit, wheat malt, banana, coriander and orange. This seemed much lighter than I thought it would be. Being the 1st beer, it went down very fast too. The ABV was well hidden.

Enjoyed on tap at Blue Monk. Good yeasty wheat aroma, very fresh characteristics. Light coloured, carbonation bubbles are apparent. A tasty sweet, seet and spicy. Good drinkability for the style. with a drop of orange peel. AirForceHops (7693) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Draft @ Sunset Grill and Tap. Tulip showed a mostly clear yellow with bubbly, thick head. Sheets of lacing and retention. The nose is a bit different then the flavor. Nose is sweet with lots of fruit esters, showing clove and lime. Taste goes more to a spicy Wit. Zesty coriander, lively grapefruit and pine hops, with the Lime peel shows up somewhere in there as well. Honestly, I’m surprised this isn’t rated a bit higher. It’s a nicely executed Wit. Give it a try and be the judge. dogfishho (669) - Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Lovely, long lime finish on this saison-style beer. Very palate coating and refreshing. Awesome tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 2, 2012
Draft at Tria. Poured a slightly hazy gold with thin white head and decent lacing. Aroma of mild spices, banana, and muted yeast funk. Spices come through and dominant the flavor - coriander, clove, pepper, with some citrus. Note my style of beer but executed fairly well. Good end of summer beer. jb (3348) - Rochester, New York, USA - SEP 1, 2012
At total tap takeover at lovin cup. Pretty good for a wit. Yeasty, fruity, spicy. Clear gold. Decent stuff.
