Nearly black with a fluffy tan head. Aroma of smoked meat and wood. The taste is smooth and well integrated smoke and roasty malts. Smooth, medium body with some dryness and soft carbonation. Good, but maybe a little too mild. crossovert (14128) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 9, 2014
Really nice one here. Smoke blends with the rest of the beer yet it is still the forefront. OmegaX (1383) - Florida, USA - FEB 9, 2014
I really enjoyed this one. On tap at Oblivion. Nose is roast and smoked meats. Big chocolate and roast everywhere. Big tan head and a black body. Creamy mouth-feel. Very nicely down beer with a good mix of coffee, chocolate, and roast/smoked notes. Nice stuff. keepersj12 (3142) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - FEB 7, 2014
This beer is very smooth for the style. The smoke gives it a bit of bacon but it doesn’t overwhelm. The finish is quite nice, smoky yet smooth. Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 7, 2014
Keg @The Vintage, Leith. Pours almost black with a little brown tinge. On the nose you get a gentle, smoke/roast/burnt smell. On the palate you get smoked jarlsberg cheese alone with some chocolate, a touch of sweetness at the end lends itself to perhaps some lactose being in the recipe as well.

Keg at the vintage... Deep black... Thin tan lacing... Soft chocolate.. Soft smoke nose... Tooo fizzy... Rich malts... Dark roast... Light woody smoke... But massive co2 prickle Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 4, 2014
This one poured a darker brown with a beige head. Aroma was of light smoke, medium roasted malts and some dark chcoolate. Flavor was mainly smoke and roast, a simple tasty smoked porter. Rob_D_UK (1366) - Madrid, SPAIN - FEB 2, 2014
Pours black with a creamy head. Smell is smokey. Taste is also a nice smoke with a bitter coffee taste too. Beerdedone (3480) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 2, 2014
Draft. Pours opaque black with a thin tan head. Aroma of smoke, chocolate and coffee. Flavor of smoked malts, light chocolate, coffee, cocoa and had a touch of molasses with a dry roasty finish. Garrold (5814) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2014
Tap at Cross Scythes, Sheffield. Clear, very dark red. Halo of tan head. Dark cherry fruitiness. Smoky. Earthy. Taste is sweet. Earthy dry, too. Light bitterness. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Shortish, dry, light bitter finish.
