COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most beer was once smoky and we think smoke is still delicious. Brooklyn Fire & Ice is a robust porter that wraps beechwood smoke around a silky core of oatmeal and roasted malts. Wood is cut in the beechwood forests surrounding Bamberg, Germany, and our maltsters use it to dry their smoked malts, which form the basis of this beer. Together with a blend of roasted malts, it creates a beer that is gently smoky and beguilingly chocolaty, with notes of coffee and caramel.

Brooklyn Fire & Ice is an unexpected speciman of this German style. Roasty sweet aroma coming from a dark pour with a tight tan head. Taste is initially a bit sweet like a cola followed by a smokey note and a light bitter finish. Fire & Ice is a delicious and original rauchbier.

Draft: Pours black with a short, dark tan head. Aroma is coffee, smoke, menthol. Creamy coffee, chocolate mint flavor. Robust porter-ness with a cooling herbal mint.... Really different smoked beer... Excellent.

Draft, Courtyard @ LGA. Opaque, black color. Low carbonation, very few brown bubbles. Light smoke aroma & flavor (almost don?t notice!). Good chocolate notes in flavor. Nice!

On tap @ The Anderson. Deep dark robust porter with think dirty white head. chocolate, licorice, smoke. First sip doesn’t tell much, but after 5mins it warms in the back of mouth.long lingering roasted toast after taste. Smokeness is subtle and not overpowering. Chocolate and burnt wood warm the palate. Best in a chalice. Broooooklyn!!

Draft. Dark pour with tan head. Super smoked aroma, oak and malt tones. Flavor is balanced smoke, peat and light pork like flavors and some normal malt like flavors balance this out.

Draft - nose is vanilla and what I thought was milk chocolate. Smoky and toasted malts. Me likes.
