Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2017 Pours a copper color with decent white head. Aroma is light malt with caramel and a light citrus smell. Taste is nice light malt with caramel and a little herbal bitterness. Light but flavorful, just what you wan in a lager.

Bottle. Color: Amber, thick long lasting frothy white head. Taste: Starting very lightly roasted malt but after a short time it gets a bit more bitterness. Smooth and gentle mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Hints of caramel and lightly butter hints. Overall it stays pretty malty and a bit grainy. Medium body. I prefer this amber lager above all other lagers that I have tasted before. Nice one.

Quite reasonable Lager. Very drinkable, yet not sure if it stands out that much. Taste is rather regular to me.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2017 I don't get the categorization of this brew. It' s essentially a weaker pale ale with a lager yeast. And they named it Lager!? This is the same as a car manufacturer releasing a new car with a diesel engine and naming the model Diesel.

From XXXII. In Teku glass. After dinne.r 6 months after bbf date (my fault). Good body. Toasted caramel notes that as warms up becomes a.bit unpleasant. To repeat fresh

Vraiment pas bonne une bière premier prix au goût bien fade difficile quand on apprécie plutôt les bières trappistes

De barril. Cerveza muy clara, carbonatación baja, poco aroma, final suave. Correcta.

chinchill (5226) - South Carolina, USA - SEP 27, 2017
12 oz bottle in NJ. Deep amber color with a tall, frothy white head that has good retention. This lager has more flavor than most, primarily due to the generous malt load. The malts also lend some additional sweetness. Overall: recommended version of style.

Pours a clear dark amber with white head. Has a strong grain and malty aroma. Heavy bodied but balanced lager with heavy grains, malts, caramel, and peppery notes. A lingering malty and grainy aftertaste.
