Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Smells strongly of pleasant citrus hops. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. Taste is refreshingly citrusy with a nice light feel to it. Tastes like a lagered pale ale. Fantastic.

Bottle. Large, lasting head with excellent lacing. Flowery hop aroma. Smooth & light on the palate. Crisp, mild hop bite with a hint of malt on the backend. A very good session beer!

Smells a great mix of fresh cascade (?) hops, bittering hops and caramel malt. An amber, almost orange brew with a very small head. Nicely sweet, well balanced, slightly creamy with a great fresh hop flavor. Finishes slightly bitter. Could drink these all day - i really like this beer.

This is a very good Vienna. Aroma was caramel with some hops in there as well. Pour was a nice dark gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was classic Vienna. Caramel and malt mostly and the hops round out the beer in the end. Sticky and wet mouth feel. Nice.
