Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Bottle. Smell is malt and hops. more malts though. Not a huge fan of this, but it’s pretty good. Very good cold. Very malty taste as well.

Excellent lager, one of my favorites of the style and goes so well with NY pizza. I don’t care to give a description...

10/20 ok but a bit too malty for my taste. Tastes a bit better when it warms up a wee bit ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of my favorites. This is for me was the epihany of lagers. I remember when I was 19 first tasting this and saying, "wow!" Really enjoyable, truly a everyday beer - great with many foods....simply put -> buy a case and never be disappointed.

Amber color, small head. Aroma malt, grain, hops, floral. Taste malt, peppermint, citrus, medium body, some bitterness.

On tap at Laguardia International terminal before going to Paris with Rebecca. Brooklyn Lager is a very nice amber color with a light-orange head. The aroma is full of hops with a nicely tinted caramel background. The flavor is very well balanced with hops and sweet malt. This is a very nice beer.

12 oz. bottle: Pours an amber gold wtih a thin off white head that quickly diminishes. Fruity aroma has hints of floral and a mild hop character. Malty flavor has hints of citrus, dry fruits with a touch of caramel. Finishes well with no lingering aftertaste like other lagers. A good everyday beer to keep in the fridge.
