(Bottle 35,5 cl) Quite dark - and very pretty - amber colour, limited head. The top quality aroma hops are revealed already in the nose and certainly when the first drops hit the tastebuds. Nice bitternes, but first and foremost aroma, with a fine malty body. A fine example of an excellent microbrewed American Lager. Beerhunter111 (23265) - Beerland, GERMANY - FEB 27, 2014
Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, fruchtig herb, leicht würzig. Geschmack röstmalzig süß, leicht fruchtig bitter. Leighton (22812) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2009
So I finally tried Brooklyn Brewery’s flagship beer, the lager. But I did it in style: on tap, in Williamsburg at the Brooklyn Bowl. This was a great beer. Rich amber pour, considerable pure white head. Scents of malts and citrus. Regarding the taste, I actually got notes of mango. I don’t know. The beer had just enough complexity to keep me interested. The flavor was crisp and firm and overall the experience was stellar. Rasmus40 (22130) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 1, 2011
Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is caramel and hoppy - fruity. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Finish is bitter. Very nice. 050305 fiulijn (21511) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 6, 2004
Beautiful amber color. Very nice hoppy aroma, fruity, caramel. Reasonable body structure, featuring a quite strong caramel character supported by a strong (and quite aromatic) bitterness, and some fruitness (apricots).

Bottle share with JF on Southampton beer up - 09/09/12.
Clear pale golden with a frothy off-white head.
Nose is pale malt and a little grain - not much doing.
Taste as nose with a little toffee and background citrus.
Medium bodied with matching carbonation leading to a dry finish.
Ok for the style but people are making much better lagers in this day and age! mcberko (19837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 27, 2010
Bottle, pours a dark copper with a light head. Aroma of yeast and dough. Flavour is a good balance of malts and hops, with yeast and dough. One of the best lagers I’ve had. saxo (19569) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 6, 2007
Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma is malt and a good amount of hops. Taste is not so strong though. Good bitter finish. harrisoni (19535) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 25, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2006 Bottle. Dark amber, malty burnt caramel aroma, some hop aroma, very carbonated in mouth with toffee flavours, some hop toffee finish. Not too sweet thankfully 3.3/5
Re-rate. I love the hops on this now. Just wonderful. I don’t get the toffee so much nor was it over carbonated. I must like it as I bought two bottles in quick succession from Tesco. Oakes (19409) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 3, 2006
Bright amber-orange coloru. Slightly chewy, caramelly aroma. Full body. Lightly toasty, hints of caramel. Clean. Fairly flavourful brew. Nothing terribly special in terms of either flavour or aroma but quite well executed and with enough body and nuance in its caramel/toast notes to keep things flowing. Nicely done.
