Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

355 ml bottle. Amber body, small head. Mildly hoppy and toasty aroma. Taste is caramelly with a notable toasty bite. The generous hop use makes it different from the European Vienna lagers that Ive had.

Bottle. Copper brown pour with a small white head. Aroma and taste is toasted sweet malts with light floral hops. Palate is smooth and drinkable with just the right amount of carbonation. Uncomplicated but well crafted and very sessionable.

pour rich golden with a decent but collapsing foam, quite active carbonation. The aroma is hoppy with some malty bready notes and this one goes down easily. the flavour is subtle malt with some hop highlights..

Pours copper with a very thin head that leaves just a bit of lacing. I am a fan of the aroma. Its kind of sweet and unique unfortunately that taste doesnt really follow suit. Its pretty well balanced - just very uninteresting to me. A little bit of a hop kick up front and it finishes crisp and smooth. I was slightly disappointed after seeing the great scores this beer receives.

Clear amber. Medium carbonation. Fruity smell and taste. Balanced bitterness in the end. Probably one of the best lagers around!
