Brooklyn Lager, the Brewery's flagship label, is New York's "hometown" beer, brewed to a pre-Prohibition recipe that dates back to the days when Brooklyn was the brewing capital of the East Coast. Brooklyn Lager has won numerous awards. Wrote Michael Jackson in the Simon & Schuster Pocket Guide to Beer: "The dry-hopped, fresh, flowery, firm, flavourful, Brooklyn Lager **-*** started well, in 1988, and has gained in character since."

Tasted from a bottle poured into a glass, this beer is always a favorite. A great example of how a lager can be delicious without being boring ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I hadn’t tried this in a long time and was super impressed. To me it’s much better than back in the day. Lots of good malt flavors, good hopping, almost an ale really. Reminds me of Sam Adams lager and a pale ale, like a combination of tastes of those. First class, it deserves all the success.

Pours a nice copper-redish brown, with a nice head and good carbonation. Aroma of caramel and malt. A little hops mellow out the aroma nicely. Velvety, delicous mouthfeel, and a nice malty flavour with hops that does not pop out, but are well balanced. Definately the best lager i’ve ever tasted.

A honey gold color with a small one finger head. Not an extraordinary aroma but sensational lager from such a big brewery. The most balanced mass produced lager on the market.
