COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

Very nicely done. My bottle poured with a big head. The aroma had the spices and sweetness. I think the honey mellowed it well. Very easy drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark brown with medium brownish white head. Sweet malty flavour with sweetness and some bitterness in the mouth and mostly sweet in the finish. Some caramel also? Very tasty

75cl bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, March 16. Thanks to Mike for this, the final beer of the night. Pours deep hazy brown with tan head. Aroma is sweet molasses. Taste is dark fruits, brown sugar, molasses and manuka honey.. quite a complex intriguing beer.

Cork and caged 0.75 litre bottle at the April 2016 Shrewsbury Beer Geek meeting and shared between 5 of us: cheers Mike for this one. Red/Brown body, beige topping. Sweet molasses rule this brew, some dark fruits in the aroma but they get lost in the flavour as the molasses take over completely. My sweet tooth liked it, but I would have prefered to be able to pick up the honey and other ingredients as I sipped the beer, not just having a malty sugar rush.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2016 Lecker auf jeden Fall. Aber was ist es denn nur? BSA, DAA oder einfach nur ein Dubbel Style SA? Wer weiss? Wer weiss? Der ganze Trunk sehr sehr solide und mir insgesamt ein wenig zu süss. Wenn am Ende der Bodensud kommt wird es nochmal komplex. The Big Bottle von Martins Weindepot in Kiel, 12 Euroletten.

Huge, fine & dense cream-beige head, with lace over deep chestnut- coloured beer. Molasses, brown candi sugar, but also leafy, woody and spicy. Yeastesters. Chocolate, wood flavours. Caramel & candi sugar are there in the mouth - more even in the finish, but they do not dominate totally. Hint at spearmint - a bit like a milkchocolate version of After Eight. Medium bodied, slick, well-carbonated. Still less MF than the average Belgian-made strong ales. Aftertaste unveils the honey. A tad too sweet to my taste;
