Appearance: Dark brown color, rich tan head. Cloudy with sediment.
Aroma: yeast, brown sugar, bread.
Taste: honey, ginger, some Belgian Wang, but ok. A touch of bitterness at the end.
Feel: bottle fermentation makes is very bubbly.
Well crafted beer, even though not my style.

Good beer. Both local 1&2 are Fantastic. If you like fancy beers you must keep this in your collection. If you can get your hands on this try it.

Oh my dang! It's so good! Seriously every bottle is slightly different but it's very delicious. It pairs well with a fatty meal such as ribeye steak, marinated in crown and pineapple.

A 93-97(user - critic rating) is WAY too high IMO. If we were comparing American beers, then this rating MAY suffice; however, this is a similar rating to a Maredsous, Gulden Draak, Kasteel, Chimay, etc, etc. What this beer lacks is weight. It feels like it has all the right ingredients to make a BSDA, but lacks in the potency of flavor. A cheap imitation, in my book.

This beer was served too cold which ruined the taste initially. Once it warmed, it shined! The malty, dark fruit flavors were very apparent and the 9% was oh so smooth. Not a lot of lacing but the finish left me wanting more. BBL2 was a true winner in my book and ranks with the best... sinfull (1655) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - FEB 9, 2015
Hazy brown color , good beige head. Aroma of dark fruits , yeast , spices and malt. Balanced taste of malt , fruits , some citrus , honey. Very gentle beer , especially for beer with 9 % ABV. thebeernurse (10) - atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 8, 2015
A Brooklyn Local so good it seems to have altogether stopped the series. Sometimes, diving into a large bottle can be daunting, but this one is truly smooth, with great honeyish elements that I find hard to refrain from angrily chugging. Fridge beers come and fridge beers go, but this is a stand-by, almost always on hand for me and my thirst. That’s all. ttoadee (1491) - Austin, Texas, USA - JAN 26, 2015
Dark brown pour, solid tan head. Nose is yeast, dark fruit, and a splash of alcohol. Bittersweet. Middle is cherries and dark roasted malt. Finish shows a bit more alcohol, and some lightly woody hop character. Went really nice with a pork barley stew. nilsas (4124) - Bryne, NORWAY - JAN 20, 2015
